Christie has been practicing family law since 2008, after being called to the Alberta Bar. With a background in sociology and Indigenous studies, she brings a well-rounded perspective to her work in family mediation.
Christie has represented clients in all levels of court in Alberta, including the Court of Justice, Court of King’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal.
Beyond representing clients for division of assets, child support, spousal support, and parenting – Christie is also a well-known advocate for children and ensuring their voices are heard. She is often appointed by the Court to represent children and ensure their views are considered in legal proceedings.
When working with parents, Christie focuses on what’s best for the children, helping to create effective parenting plans and encouraging positive communication between co-parents for the long term.
